Sapno Se Bhare Naina 30th May 2011 Written Update

Akruti is walking up and down in her room, anxious to know the outcome of her medical reports. She then, calls the clinic and they tell her that the reports have already been sent with the courier, to her house, and she is very upset, and tells them that she wanted to pick them up herself. The lady at the other end apologizes, and when Akeruti hears the house bell ring, she rushes down to see if it is the courier. Shyamal opens the door, and in come Daksh with Abhi and Naina. Rest of the family too gather round the three, and notice Akruti is very tense. They advise her to take rest.

Abhi is feeling a little over confident, and asks his aunt, how the arrangement are going on. She tells him, to find out from Sanket and Vedant. Vibha tells Naina, that Minoo Tai will change her mind, and that she need not worry. On hearing this Daksh excuses himself and goes to his room. Naina and Abhi too leave with him, and as Naina goes she is thinking of her home, and how her step mother had told her that she was not her mother, and she is at a loss what to do, especially, as Abhi too hinted that she should tell her parents. Daksh tells Naina that he will meet her later, and then he goes to his room.

When they are alone, Naina tells Abhi that she wants to tell him something and he is prepared to listen to her. She tells him, that she is expecting hurdles in the way, and he waives them aside.

Shyamal questions Akruti why she went to the hospital, and she gives her misleading answers, and the mother does not want to persist. Aunt Vibha believes Akruti and wants to know what the doctor advised her. Akruti lets off some more yarns, and the elderly women, swallow her 'truth'. Vibha tells her to take two days leave from Naina. In the meantime, Naina is explaining to Abhi the disadvantages in pursuing this relationship, which is not welcome to his mother, but Abhi is adamant. Naina is influenced by her personal experiences with herself, at home in Sikkim, which drove her away from all those things she loved and cherished. As she explains to him her fears, Daksh overhears them and is concerned. Just then, as Abhi holds Naina's hand and gives her encouragement, his mother happens to come and see them. Naina leaves his hand and is about to go.

The courier comes with the reports and Vibha takes them and when she sees that the envelope is addressed to Akruti, gives it to her, and she takes it to her room and wants to read. She is upset, when she sees what the report says. She wants to cry, and does not know whom to turn to. She had rejected every one's advise and pursued her relationship with Ayush, trusting him more than her own family people. she remembers what her mother had told her regarding rusting strangers.

As they are a;; gathered together Minoo Tai arrives, and goes to the prayer room, and prays and as she opens her eyes, she finds a floral work, suggesting that she agree to the proposal. Wherever she goes she finds banners and posters with the same message which do not seem to impress her very much and then she confronts them, asking them if they consider her refusal as an expression of her stubbornness. Every one is asked by her to tell her why they think she needs to change her mind. She finally yields seeing the enthusiasm on the faces of her family members and this brings smiles on every one's face, except Naina. Rohini has a disappointed look. When Minoo Tai asks Naina that, she wants to know if she can meet her requirements. She says, that she will try. Then, when she is told that the task will be difficult, and whether she will up to the challenge, Naina does not reply. Abhi's mother asks her .to inform her father and mother, about this proposal, and get their approval. - no one has tried to find out her back ground, since they found it unimportant. They met Anjali but did not go deep to figure out their relationship.

Naina thinks about Anjali, and what the future holds for her, and she goes to the room of Akruti, and she has gone to the bath room, and Naina finds the reports on the floor, and as she opens to find out what it is, she realizes that Akruti is in trouble. Akruti too, has camouflaged her relationship with Ayush, and left her family in the dark alley. Naina too will find her situation close to home, and will wonder whether her mother too had fallen into similar straights, at the time of conceiving her. Naina came out of it safe, but will Akruti give her child in her womb, the same chance?

Sapno Se Bhare Naina 27th May 2011 Written Update

In another part of the house, Abhi is being questioned by his mother, who is very upset, because she has found that her son for whom she devoted her whole life, has fallen for the charms of a girl, whom he knew only for a few days. Vibha is kept out of the discussion, and Minoo Tai decides that Naina is not a fit person to be a member of her household. She is angry with her sister for not correcting her son. The matter ends there as far as she is concerned, as she has already found a respectable Marathi girl to be her worthy daughter in law, to tie the knot with her son.

We are shown Akruti going to the Maternity clinic, for a check up,all anxious and worried, and she gets a call from her mother, whom she bluffs saying that she is with a client and her mother says that her office is closed and Naina is at home but she is told that the meeting was important. Just then the doctor says loudly calling for the next patient. Shyamal hears the conversation, as Akruti has not closed the mouth piece, and when her mother asks who the patient is, she covers her mouth piece and says, she will tell her when she comes home. The doctor prescribes her some medicines, and tells her that the reports will be sent to her house, but she tells her that she will come to pick them up.

Abhi is escorted by his Aunt Vibha to the ground floor, where there is a general assembly of the Patwardan house, with Abhi as the main guest, and with the agenda of getting a plan ready to coax the mother of Abhi, to accept Naina. Rohini volunteers, to the consternation of her husband, and she leaves them to go up to convince Abhi;s mother. Every one among the viewers have known her capacity to convince She pretends to be a dutiful person, and builds up her argument, tells her that her son gave an expensive diamond ring to Naina, with the ultimate aim to disqualify her arch enemy, Naina. She thinks she has succeeded, after a long and winding monologue of accusations and insinuations. Minoo Tai has some advice for her too after listening patiently.. She starts first by complimenting her for telling everything she had known, and says, she is relieved to hear her point of view. As Rohini is elated, there comes a pin prick in her balloon. Her aunt tells her, "If you were half as good as you were in convincing me, with your mother, Vibha, you would have been a very happy person. Instead of pressing your electric bell to get her to do your work, you should have done her the favor of doing her jobs," She adds, that her mother in law has kept her on her head. Rohini rushes down, to turn the tables against Minoo Tai, and tells them she has not changed her mind.

Vibha proposes a new plan, and they huddle around listening to her, and the audience is kept out of the discussion, as the sound is off, and only gesticulations are allowed to be seen. But the conclusion is loud and clear, all agree that the idea is good. What it is, is a matter for another day. When Abhi wants to speak to Naina, the self important guy, notices his fiancee is missing. So too is Daksh. He goes to find out where they could be.

In the garden outside, Naina is unburdening her heart to Daksh and tells him, how unfit she is to be a wife as she does not know any traditions or customs. She says, wearing a traditional garb, does not make one traditional. She tells him, that she has always done what she thought was right, irrespective of what others thought, and that is coming in her way. Then she asks, "Who will marry me ?" - Daksh takes a long time, and then he tells her, "I will. Will you marry me? I will not ask you of your past. Have you ever found out what my mother thinks?" She is so surprised, that she just stares at him. Abhi just then enters the scene, and wants to know what the two of them are talking about. He has already taken himself to me the master of the house, and is very self confident and talks above her head. She brings him down to earth, and asks, "What rubbish are you talking?" He tells her that he was just joking. Daksh is silently but reluctantly listening to his cousin's egoistic banter. Anyone, with a modicum of intelligence would gauge the two men, and find Daksh the better. Wonder what Naina would conclude.

Abhi asks in passing if she has already told her mother, and she thinks of the day, when her step mother Anjali, told her that she was not her birth mother. She tells Abhi that she has not told her mother. Then Abhi as usual, self ingratiates himself, trying to show his better side, while making a fool of himself to the viewer of the show. He wants to take his 'bride to be' home to his mother, and asks for one more day. He tells her that he can impress her mother, but if his mother can not change her mind, he seems to say, the second choice for Naina, is his cousin Daksh, and she could marry him. Would that, Naina measured his self importance and his inflated ego. She should choose Daksh who is quietly taking her side, in every difficult situation.

At home a courier comes with reports for Akruti, and she too enters the house, when Shyamal tells Vibha to sign for the envelope, as her hands are occupied. Akruti is stunned.

As the story of the day opens, Minoo Tai tells Naina that Vibha and she are going to fast , and asks her to prepare some Maharashtrian food to be had for the fast - vadas made from potatoes and sago.. Abhi offers to help, but his mother stops him, and tells that she asked Naina to do it. The family sits for prayers and from where they are, we can see Naina, fumbling with the ingredients, unaware of the recipe. She was a girl brought up in a wealthy family in Sikkim, in the north, and with a step mother, who hardly was seen in the kitchen, and the child was looked after by a maid. In the boarding house too, she was quite independent. This is the first time she has come to Maharashtra, and Abhi's mother wants a girl, well versed in the traditions and customs of her family. This individualistic woman, had indeed a tough time in bringing up this son of hers. She feels hurt, that her son did not consult her, and is bent upon proving to others, that Naina is not a fit person to fill the esteemed shoes of a daughter in law of her family. As Naina is trying to figure it out the method of preparing the snacks Daksh sends her an SMS recipe to prepare it, and she follows it, and makes tasty vadas. The future mother in law goes to the kitchen table, to examine the work, and with her comes the effusive Vibha too. The latter is all in smiles, thinking her favorite Naina has managed the job well, and Naina asks Minoo Tai, to taste the vadas. Rohini in the rear, is waiting to see something to go wrong, and peering through the people in front, and then the autocrat, comes with the verdict. She finds fault in the kadai, (frying pan). According to her, one has to use new frying pan, for the breaking of the fast. Rituals supersede humanity. She chastises Vibha for not showing the traditions of her people to this girl, who has spent five months, according to the reliable proof offered by the devoted daughter in law, Rohini. Minoo walks off, without tasting the vadas, and all sycophants go behind her. Rohini stays back, and wants to taste the vadas which appear very appealing. She takes a bite and finds them good and offers to Sanket, who refuses her 'generosity'. Naina rushes out of the place to her room, with her head bowed down, and tears gushing from her eyes. Daksh excuses himself from the rest, and goes to see Naina. Kaka is packing up, to leave the house, and tells Shyamal to take care of the children and herself. He will be away for some time. Is he running away from Bakshi? In Naina's room, Daksh finds her sobbing and wants to console her, but she tells him that she does not want to speak to any one at the moment. Daksh quietly takes a chair and sits by himself, watching Naina. After a long time, she looks up and finds Daksh and asks if he has been there all the time. She gets up, and holds his hand and says "Thank you", and he asks for what. She tells for being with her when she wanted someone. Naina confides that she never had any one to groom her in the traditions of any one, not even her family. She does not tell him much, but she tells him, that when she is a girl who has no idea of the customs, who will marry her.
