I took a stroll today through Santiago's Cementerio General. I entered the gates nearest the Metro. As one moves south, the tombs are more simple, smaller. Then, as one comes around to the main entrance, one meets the massive sepulchers of Santiago's most notable. A brief entry on the cemetery can be found on Wikipedia at:
