For almost 10 years, Imam Ghazali lived travelling and discovered unbelievable realities during his seclusion. In fact he wanted to find God in his soul. He believed that by thinking one gets closer to God.

Imam Ghazali said that the world was passing and we have to be prepared for perils ahead of us.
He had said: "When I die, tell my friends not to cry for me, I tell them that the body you see in front of you is not me. I am a soul and what you see is the garb of my soul.
