The meaning of the Japan is similar to the old name of our country (Khurasan). Japan is one of the Far East countries and its first empire ruled during 7th century BC.
During the 20th century Japan was one of the super powers in the world, but during the World War II when Hiroshima and Nagasaki were hit by US atomic bombs the country suffered a big blow.
Currently, Japan is the third strongest country in terms of economy. After being hit by the atomic bombs in WWII, it's very difficult to be in this position. Japan was the first ever country that faced atomic bombing. Japan doesn't have sufficient mines to get benefit from; only stabilisation and forced education led the country towards modernity and rapid growth and it became one of the biggest economies in the globe.
Currently Japan is one of the eight industrial countries and its products are exported around the world.
