Ingredients
6 cups chopped lettuce
1 cup onions, chopped
2 1/2 cups low fat milk
2 tbsp plain flour (maida)
1 1/2 tsp low fat butter
salt and black pepper (kalimirch) powder to taste
Method
- Heat the butter in a vessel, add the chopped onions and lettuce and fry for a little time.
- Mix the milk and plain flour and add to the above mixture together with 2½ cups of water.
- Cook for 10 minutes.
- Cool to room temperature and blend the mixture in a liquidiser to a smooth purée.
- Heat for some time, add salt and pepper.
- Serve hot.
