A remake of the director's own 2010 Malayalam film, Bodyguard, the film is being produced by Atul Agnihotri and features Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles. Bodyguard is scheduled for release on August 31, 2011.

Karisma Kapoor's comeback film is turning out to be a film from a completely different league. Vikram Bhatt's 'Dangerous Ishq' is going to be the biggest challenge of the actress' career. Karisma will play five different roles across five different lifetimes covering various events; spanning from the ancient spiritual times to the partition of India, assassination of ex-prime minister Indira Gandhi to present day politics. Not only this she has to train herself in martial arts too.

The four-year-old Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan's relationship is going through a rough patch these days. Buzz has it that the couple has been fighting very frequently. First, their busy schedule is restricting them from spending time together. Kareena has four films lined up for release this year and so has no time for Saifu, who is annoyed with the fact. Plus, Saif's closeness to Deepika during the shooting of 'Aarakshan' and 'Cocktail' is causing problems between the two.

Mallika earlier shook her booty for the item song 'Razia gundo mein phas gayee' in Anees Bazmee’s 'Thank You'. Dressed in metallic tassles and hotpants, a distressed Razia narrates her plight while gyrating to the tunes with Akshay Kumar. The song was composed by Pritam. The track reportedly had a desi, folksy flavour to appeal to all. The song was inspired by another Pakistani song from yesteryears.

Mallika will also feature in a hot and steamy item number 'Jalebi Bai' for Double Dhamaal. Rs 1.5 crore set was constructed for the shooting of Sherawat’s item number. The song features the cast of the film which includes Sanjay Dutt, Kangna Ranaut, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Ashish Chowdry and Jaaved Jaffery. Mallika starts off with a hula hoop in a dangerously low lehenga and a gold choli as Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi look on. Replete with suggestive moves and skimpy outfits, the song is a sure-shot hit.

Shalu ke thumke

Mallika's latest item number in this week's release 'Bin Bulaye Baraati' vehemently ridicules Munni (Malaika Arora Khan) and Sheila (Katrina Kaif). The item number picturises Mallika singing, “Munni bhi maani aur Sheila bhi maani, Shalu ke thumke ki duniya deewani.” Apparently, choreographer (Farah Khan) who made Munni and Sheila dance and become an instant chartbuster was approached to make Shalu give hot thumkas! But the proposal was politely turned down by her. It was Mallika’s idea to fuse in the names of Munni and Sheila in the song and make Shalu overpower them.

The film introduces 5 friends, Amrita/ Amy (Kalki Koechlin), Dushyant/ Dash (Shiv Pandit), Zubin (Neil Bhoopalam), Karan/ KC (Gulshan Devaiya) and Tanya Sharma (Kirti Kulhari). Apart from Dash, who works at a coffee shop, the rest belong to affluent families. So, like most rich and rotten teens their age, they party on yachts, get sloshed in fancy swimming pools, go cruising about town in Hummers and indulge in all those things you saw them doing in the promos.
Now a peculiar thing to note, which will be the cause of most unforeseen events in this film, is an unexplained and often misplaced flight of fury over the most trivial things. So, a guy is seen chatting up with Tanya and KC races to the scene and punches his face to pulp. KC loves Tanya? KC is protective? KC is seen kissing another girl in the very next scene! So, KC loves thrashing up people for fun?
